Sudbrook Gardens Redevelopment

We are thrilled to reveal the final development of Sudbrook Gardens in association with Rooftop Housing Group.

We were appointed to help deliver on a small tranquil garden next to the new development on Paul Street, Tredworth. This gives the local community a lovely space to enjoy in this historic suburb of the south of Gloucester city centre.

The proposals were to design a characterful ‘secret’ garden that takes design queues from the Victorian origins of the neighbourhood. Retention and refurbishment of the existing heritage wall at Hatherley Road helped us to create an inviting entrance.

The plants have been selected to be as low maintenance as possible while still being able to tolerate occasional water-logging. This will allow the flood-prone site to act as temporary surface water storage, as previously recommended by the wider Paul Street development site drainage strategy.
